Don't date on an empty stomach.

A love letter to cult classics with a modern twist, Babyteeth mixes high school drama, friendships, and romance with a fanged, campy bite.

Macie Campbell

Writer & Actor - Macie Campbell

Hello, I'm Macie Campbell. I’m a writer for our short film 'Babyteeth.' Since a young age, I've been captivated by the world of cinema. I pursued this passion with determination, graduating high school with a fine arts scholarship and immersing myself in the realms of film and theater for over six years.

My writing is deeply rooted in my personal experiences, particularly those of girlhood and coming-of-age, as I strive to bring authenticity and raw emotion to the stories I tell. I have a profound love for narratives that explore the multifaceted journey of being a young woman, im unafraid to delve into the complexities of life – the good, the bad, and yes, even the bloody.

He’s formed a rigorous passion for the medium and worked on a diverse range of projects; from narrative work, to commercials, to music videos, and more. He wants nothing more than to communicate artistically with the world and cultivate a zeitgeist of fervent thoughtfulness (and to be as silly as humanly possible). Saar has an eye for strong dramatic visuals and a love for telling immersive stories that serve as reminders to our human condition. He’s fulfilled and at his best when collaborating with others (especially when there’s good crafty).

Jo Gaffney

Production Designer - Jo Gaffney

Jo Gaffney is a queer director and photographer based in Vancouver, BC. She has produced and directed over 16 short films, many of which have received nominations at both local and international festivals. Her work is known for having a strong surrealist feel, with elements of suburban gothic horror, while maintaining a focus on how personal stories can elevate concepts and themes into universal stories. She focuses on elevating the personal into the universal in her work because for art to be meaningful the audience needs to be able to relate to the story that is told but also to each other.
